A local business has joined the Abbotsford-Sumas Rotary Club in looking after the upkeep of the Abbotsford sign on the south side of Highway 1 at Sumas Way.
The Rotary Club has tended to the weeding, pruning, cleaning and mowing of the area bordering the sign for 20 years.
In the past, volunteers have even repainted the sign several times. But this year Otter Co-op has donated the paint as part of their Communities in Full Colour program, and staff even joined the Rotarians’ work crew to help do the painting.
Co-op’s Social Responsibility Program is part of their ongoing commitment to give back, lend a hand and do what they can to support the causes that matter most to the community.
