Rick Hansen Secondary’s Vaisakhi celebration held Friday evening at the school included dance performances, a fashion show, and group performances ranging from the elementary to high school levels.
Vaisakhi, also known as the harvest festival, is a significant event marking the birth of the Khalsa (the collective body of the Sikh faith).
Several other local schools also held Vaisakhi celebrations last week and this week.
