Abbotsford residents are encouraged to pick up litter around their workplace, school, community trails and streets during Community Clean-Up Week from April 16 to 22.
Residents have until April 6 to register to volunteer their time to help beautify their neighbourhood and do their part for Earth Day.
In 2015, 838 residents participated in the Community Clean-Up program. These participants included local residents, community groups, organizations and local schools. Participating classes will have their names entered into a draw for a gift card, courtesy of the Teachers’ Learning Store.
How to get involved:
1. Register at www.abbotsford.ca/volunteerapplication by April 6
2. Pick up supplies.
3. Yellow garbage bags can be placed with your household garbage pick-up. Extra garbage stickers are not required.
