Abbotsford Agrifair has announced that the RCMP Musical Ride will perform on all three days of this year’s event.

Agrifair runs Aug. 3 to 5 at Exhibition Park, and the world-renowned troupe of horses and riders will perform daily.

Performances will include salutes to the family of fallen Abbotsford Police officer Const. John Davidson and to other members of the first-responder community.

Salutes will be taken by Abbotsford Police Chief Bob Rich, who is retiring this year; the Davidson family; Fire Chief Don Beer and another member of the first-responder community.

“We’re excited to welcome this talented group from our world-famous National Police Service,” Rich said. “They are iconic to our Canadian heritage, as well as being wonderful to watch in action.”

This highly trained troupe of 32 RCMP officers on horseback perform intricate figures and drills choreographed to music.

Performances are free for all attendees of the fair.

This year’s Agrifair theme is celebrating family and community.

New additions to this year’s fair include the DockDog shows and the Dally and Spanky Show.

A special performance by Canadian country music star Jojo Mason is planned for Saturday, and Christian band Citizen Way performs as Sunday’s headliner.

The fair will also see the return of the popular Laughing Logger Show, 4-H shows, the Country Horse Classic, the demolition derby and Global FMX Motorcross Show.

Midway rides and endless family entertainment and activities round out the lineup. Visit agrifair.ca for more information.
