Plenty of spring break fun available

Several day camps are offered in Abbotsford over the next two weeks

Several kids’ camps are being held in Abbotsford over the next two weeks during spring break.

These include activities offered through West Abbotsford Community School Society at John MacLure community school from March 23 to 27.

A spring day camp takes place each day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., while a game design camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

The City of Abbotsford’s parks, recreation and culture department offers camps and daily drop-in activities from March 14 to 29.

These include the L’il Campers Preschool and Sport camps for kids ages three to five; the Super Springtastic camps for kids ages five to 12, which include skating, games, swimming and crafts; and the Super Splash camp for kids ages seven to 12, which include swimming lessons, games and crafts.

The department also offers several specialty camps, as well as skating and swimming lessons.

The Reach Gallery Museum hosts two art camps – Art Cart Masterpieces and Comic Style.

They run from March 16 to 27 and are available for kids ages six to 12. Camps run from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. weekdays.

Sevenoaks Shopping Centre holds free kids’ activities every day from March 20 to 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

These include a visit from Science World on March 20 and 21, the Reptile Guy on March 23, and magician Gary Savard on March 29. Visit for the full schedule.

The Highstreet shopping complex also offers free spring break fun from March 16 to 20 and March 20 to 23. Activities include crafts, stories, jumping castles, games and more.
