The Abbotsford Garden Club teams up with the MSA Museum Society to hold a spring plant sale on Saturday, May 7.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trethewey House Heritage Site, 2313 Ware St.
The sale features plants from club members’ own gardens.
A new addition this year is a Superfluity Sale of furnishings and household objects.
The sale takes its name from the Abbotsford shop that sold excess objects donated by civic-minded citizens to support Second World War victory loans and soldier comforts.
The public is invited to book a table for $20 to sell their excess household items, or they can book a table at no cost and donate their revenue to the MSA Museum Society and The Reach Gallery Museum to support community heritage programs.
All public Superfluity Sale tables or a parking spot to sell right from the trunk of your car must be booked in advance by contacting Kris Foulds at 604-308-1882.
