The 2019 Total Makeover Challenge is now underway.
The challenge, presented by Shape Your World Society and presenting sponsors MSA Ford and Shoppers, has started with 29 contestants.
Over the next four months, challengers will participate in three segments that focus on fitness, health, personal growth, development and beauty makeover. After each segment, voting will determine those who move on to the next round.
Public voting and votes from a judges’ panel count as 50 per cent of the value for choosing the challengers who move on to the next round.
The other 50 per cent is based on program participation, attitude, leadership skills, weight loss and inch loss in addition to other mini challenges taking place throughout the segment.
The first segment has started and runs through to Feb. 27. Voting takes place from Feb. 21 to 27 at abbynews.com/contests. At the end of voting, there will be 15 challengers remaining.
The second segment runs six weeks, from March 3 to April 16. Voting runs April 4 to 10, after which the top five challengers will be determined.
The winner will be chosen after the end of segment three, which runs from April 17 to May 21, with votes cast from May 9 to 15.
