Pacific Agriculture Show returns to Tradex

The annual event runs Jan. 29 to 31 at the Abbotsford trade and exhibition centre

The Pacific Agriculture Show will return from Jan. 29 to 31 at the Tradex Exhibition Centre.

This year’s event focuses on the future of farming, bringing together over 280 exhibitors who will showcase the latest and most innovative equipment and technology for the agriculture industry. Attendees can learn from leaders and fellow community members through presentations, lectures, and educational sessions.

“This year is going to be our biggest and most exciting year yet,” says Jim Shepard, producer of the show. “We have Tradex absolutely maxed out with exhibitors and industry seminars. The interest in agriculture has grown exponentially over the past few years as the need to grow more food increases.”

Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Institute for Sustainable Food Systems is returning on Jan. 31 to present a day of small farm sessions with local farmers and researchers focused on small-scale farm management and business planning. Also back this year with programs are the Horticulture Growers’ Short Course, the BC Dairy Expo, and the Agri-Energy & Waste Management Forum.

“The show has all of the major equipment dealers showing off the biggest, latest tractors and farm equipment. There is also a petting zoo and the Birds of Prey exhibit that are always popular attractions, especially kids.”

Doors open at 9 a.m. on Jan. 29. Free parking is sponsored by Fountain Tire. For more, visit agricultureshow.net.
