A GoFundMe campaign has been started for Heather Jensen of Abbotsford, who is battling an aggressive form of breast cancer.

An GoFundMe campaign has been organized to help an Abbotsford woman who is battling a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer.

Heather Jensen’s fight is complicated by other health challenges, including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and a chronic autoimmune disease called Sjogren’s Syndrome.

Jensen has had a total mastectomy and, as a result of her autoimmune diseases, she has greatly reduced mobility, the GoFundMe page states.

These ailments complicated and delayed her chemotherapy and herceptin treatments, as well as forced her to stop taking medications that manage her lupus.

“Heather’s treatments are expensive and she’s unable to work during this fight. She has always been a generous and kind person to everyone she meets and now she needs our help to ease the financial burden. She deserves to be able to focus on her health and not have to worry about the cost of care,” the page states.

“She is such a loving and giving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.”

The page can be found by searching “Hope for Heather Jensen” at gofundme.com.
