Abbotsford residents’ top priorities are parks and the environment, jobs, and transportation and infrastructure, according to survey conducted as part of the city’s official community plan (OCP) update.

Over 2,300 residents responded to an online survey as part of stage two of community engagement for Abbotsforward – a plan that will outline how the city develops in the future.

The preliminary results show there was a three-way tie for top priority, followed by housing in fourth place. City staff will use residents’ comments to develop a set of ideas that connect the background research observations to the community engagement input. This will be included in a report that will be presented to council in May.
