Nominations are now being accepted for the Abbotsford Community Services (ACS) Community Builders’ Awards.

The awards honour outstanding individuals and organizations who work tirelessly, passionately and collaboratively to make Abbotsford a better place in which to live, work and raise a family.

The Community Builders’ Awards were established in 2006 by the ACS board of directors to honour and acknowledge individuals and has since grown to also include other non-profits and businesses.

Last year, Dr. Andy Sidhu, Prospera Credit Union, VIP Mazda and the Soroptimists International of Abbotsford-Mission were recognized for their contributions to ACS and the larger community.

A few of the other notable past recipients include Home Depot, Dr. Elizabeth Watts and the late Dave Holmberg.

“The Community Builders’ Awards recognize those who lead by example and contribute their time, resources or ideas,” says Darlynnda Ross, chair of the awards committee and ACS board member.

The deadline for nominations is Aug. 15. The awards will be held Oct. 24 at The Reach Gallery Museum. Visit AbbotsfordCommunityServices.com/cba to see all past winners or submit a nomination.
