Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley has announced the appointment of Corina Carroll as executive director effective July 4.

Carroll brings to the organization significant experience as a non-profit manager developing programs for children and youth.

She is currently a program manager at Diverse City Community Resources Society and has held positions with Chances Youth Services and Pacific Community Resources Society.

She also has considerable experience in developing and successfully maintaining stakeholder relationships in communities.

Carroll has a bachelor of arts in child and youth care from Douglas College and has previously served in a volunteer role with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Langley.

“I think what I love best about Big Brothers Big Sisters is that the model isn’t complex and yet the impact is significant,” Carroll says.

“We don’t need to complicate what is provided to children … A sense of connection and support provides a strong foundation from which children can thrive. I am honoured and excited to join this organization and be a part of something big.”

The agency serves youth in the communities of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission and Ridge Meadows.
