Of the thousands of hopefuls who entered the inaugural Great RV Adventure, hosted by the Abbotsford News and Fraserway RV, one family has won a $2,500 weekend trip to the mystery destination in a fully loaded RV.

The Labelle family, with mom Christine, dad Rolly, 11-year-old Nicole, 8-year-old Zach, and little 2-year-old Natasha, learned Friday that they'll be going to beautiful Skaha in the Okanagan Valley.

Although the family won an all-expenses-paid three nights and four days trip with food, gas and a campsite, the Labelles opted to pay extra to go for a whole week.

The contest, which proved very popular among Abbotsford families vying for the win, will all be recorded on a camera provided by the Abbotsford News, with regular updates of the trip posted to facebook.com/myabbynews.

The family can thank mom for winning them the big trip, for applying online when the contest was announced in July.

"I didn't think we had much of a chance, and then when we were chosen we were thrilled to win," she said.

The Labelles are on a bit of a winning streak. They won a similar getaway two years ago when Fraserway RV had their 40th anniversary, which Rolly describes as the best holiday, "bar none."

Nicole said she's looking forward to visiting her uncle who lives near Penticton.

For mom and dad, there's no question what this trip is about.

"Relaxing," says mom with a smile, as she holds little Natasha.

"To see the delight on the faces of the kids and mom and dad is just fantastic", said Ken North, general manager of Fraserway RV. "It's really what our business is all about and what we do for a living here, is we send people off on their vacations and help fulfill their dreams."
