Longboarders gather for memorial race

The Yardwaste Downhill Memorial Race for longboarders was held at Discovery Trail in Abbotsford on Saturday.

Approximately 50 skaters took part in the event, which was held not only as a competition but to raise awareness about safety.

The race also remembered deceased longboarders Dustin Mackenzie, 11; Marcus Larabie, 14; and Dakota Leslie, 19.
