The Central Abbotsford Community School Carter’s Kids Program has been selected as a finalist in this year's Thanks a Million campaign by The Keg Steakhouse and Bar.
In hour of its 40th anniversary, the restaurant is donating 40 $25,000 grants to community-based projects or initiatives in communities across Canada and the U.S.
The Central Abbotsford Community School Society is a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities to families in the community. Carter's Kids is a free after school program that focuses on literacy, homework support, recreation, social and emotional skill development. It operates out of four different elementary and middle inner city schools.
The public can vote for which entries they believe should receive the grants at kegsteakhouse.com until June 14.
The Keg will announce the winners on June 29.
