A Fraser Valley woman has released a memoir about her journey to emotional and spiritual wellness.
Sandy Phillipps’s book is titled The Voice of Love: Hope Breaking Out of Shattered Pieces.
She said it recounts her journey “from seemingly innocence to shattered pieces to emotional and spiritual wholeness.”
Phillipps was born and raised in Africa. She said her her life spiralled out of control when her family moved to Vancouver.
“My pilgrimage through incredible depths of unfolding pain, darkness, and anguish of soul and mind took me to victory and deep healing, all the while accompanied and sustained by voices of love,” she said.
Phillipps said the book pulls back the curtain on her soul in raw honesty, and will win over readers like a familiar friend, demonstrating how “sorrow came to stretch out space for greater joy.”
“Trauma does not have to define you for the rest of your life,” she said.
The Voice of Love is available at House of James in Abbotsford and online at Goodreads and Amazon. The audiobook will be released soon.
