Some potential bargains will be going on sale in a good cause Saturday, April 30.

Proceeds from the live auction fundraiser will go to the Interfaith Refugee Project, which brought together more than 20 people of diverse backgrounds, talents and religious affiliations to help bring a refugee family from war-torn Syria to Abbotsford.

Mohammad Amostafa, his wife Heba, and infant daughter Jana arrived in January.

Among the items on sale are assorted gift baskets, two embroidered bathrobes, dinner for eight at the Town Hall Public House , half-hour glider rides with the Vancouver Soaring Club, a stay in a jacuzzi suite at Coast Hotels Abbotsford, a pre-Christmas, two-night B&B stay that includes cutting your own tree at the Fraser Tree Farm, and more. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Immanuel Baptist Church at Maclure and Bluejay. Tickets are $2, available at the door.

Desserts, tea and coffee included with admission.
