Abbotsford residents can “pay” their library fines with food from Nov. 12 to Dec. 10.
Anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to any Fraser Valley Regional Library location will have their fine reduced by $2 for each item, up to a total of $30.
All items collected in Abbotsford will be donated to the Abbotsford Food Bank.
Suggested donations include pasta and pasta sauce, canned meats/fruits/vegetables, cold cereals, baby food, peanut butter and jam, rice, flour, sugar, oats, Boost and Ensure, soups, and stews.
