Grade 9 and 10 leadership students at Robert Bateman Secondary recently raised more than $1,000 for Cyrus Centre in Abbotsford.

The money was raised May 16 during an event called Cents4Cyrus.

Students participated in five hours full of a “wipeout” obstacle course, zorbs, pizza, ice cream sundaes, karaoke, and more.

Cyrus Centre, which has locations in Abbotsford and Chilliwack, provides a caring place for at-risk, homeless youth under the age of 19.

The centre offers beds and a safe place to stay while youth are working towards long-term solutions.
