Students from the Abbotsford Kumon Math and Reading Centre were honoured for their high achievements.

The Abbotsford Kumon Math and Reading Centre (on Trethewey Street) honoured its students at its annual bowling/awards event held at Galaxy Bowl on Nov. 17.

Students were recognized for their academic and personal achievements throughout the year.

The entire student body, parents, and centre staff were invited to help celebrate the success of Abbotsford Kumon’s exemplary students.

Shirley Tam, director of Abbotsford Kumon, believes in honouring students not only for reaching the advanced student honour roll and studying challenging material but also for dedication to daily Kumon practice.

Following the tradition of previous years, students were asked to give back to the community by contributing to the food drive to benefit the local food bank.

Thanks to the generosity of students and their families, five large boxes of food items were collected for the Abbotsford Community Services' Food Bank.
