Kids get free pizza for breakfast, thanks to Abbotsford restaurant

Pizza Garden holds giveway on Thursday, Oct. 24

An Abbotsford restaurant is giving out free pizza to kids for breakfast on Thursday, Oct. 24.

Abbotsford Pizza Garden at 2653 Trethewey St. is holding the giveaway from 7 to 9 a.m.

The breakfast includes a “healthy-concept hand-tossed-crust pizza” and milk or freshly made juice.

“As we all know the benefit of having a healthy breakfast, we decided to provide a healthy free kids’ breakfast on us for one day,” the owners say.

According to data from The Breakfast Club of Canada, one-fourth of Canadian children are at risk of starting the day on an empty stomach due to lack of access to food.
