Sevenoaks Shopping Centre holds its fourth annual Kids’ Carnival on Saturday, June 18, with all proceeds going to Matthew’s House respite home for children with complex health-care needs.
The carnival takes place in the parking lot closest to Shoppers Drug Mart and runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It is geared for all ages, but targeted to ages three to 12. Each carnival booth takes one to four tickets at 50 cents each. A fun pack can be purchased for $20 (cash only), which includes 40 tickets.
Activities at the event include face painting; carnival games; balloon animals; the Reptile Guy; a bouncy castle; inflatable games, partnerships with Castle Fun Park, EcoDairy and Fraserway RV; a barbecue and more.
Since 2013, the carnival has raised $7,000 for Matthew’s House, located on the Campus of Care next to Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
