A group of B.C. musicians are kicking off the holiday season with an evening of fun music, headlined by award-winning Abbotsford performer Brian Doerksen.
The "Home for Christmas" concert will fill Central Heights Church with a mix of holiday-themed tunes, which will include classic tracks as well as a few originals by Doerksen and the other performers.
Opening the concert will be Brenda Janz, Brian and Loralee Thiessen, and Marika and Zoey Siewert, followed by a headline performance by Doerksen.
Luke Vandevert, administrator for Doerksen Music, explained that this holiday concert has something fun for everyone.
"This concert is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and the joy that comes with the holiday season," Vandevert said.
In addition to being a local artist, Doerksen is also a Juno Award winner, receiving the Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year award for his 2008 album "Holy God".
This all-ages event takes place at Central Heights Church in Abbotsford on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
