Impact Youth Substance Use Services is offering an eight-week Parent Merge Group, starting Tuesday, Jan. 20.

The group’s focus is to provide support, awareness, knowledge and skills for caregivers.

Topics include: understanding substance use, adolescent development, communication, boundaries, crisis management and self-care.

Guest speakers include representatives from Child and Youth Mental Health, the Abbotsford Police Department and youth/parent alumni of Impact.

Participants do not need to be involved with Impact services to attend the group or receive other services.

The group runs every Tuesday from Jan. 20 to March 10 from 6 to 8 p.m.
