The second annual Hike for Hospice, held this year on May 1 at Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford, raised $12,000.
Money raised at the event will go to Holmberg House, a 30,000 sq. ft. hospice located on the Campus of Care on Marshall Road adjacent to Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
The 10-bed facility opened last month and provides end-of-life care to adults as young as 19.
Some of the services offered at Holmberg House include support groups, family counselling and therapies for bereaved children.
