Heritage Abbotsford Society is based at Trethewey House heritage site. The society is seeking two new board members.

Heritage Abbotsford Society is now accepting applications for its board of directors.

The society’s mission is to collect, record, preserve and share the stories of Abbotsford.

The board of directors promotes this mission, ensures the society’s financial stability through oversight, and gives approval of organizational goals, policies and plans.

There are two vacancies to be filled immediately, and the membership and nominations committee is looking for nominations to the board ahead of the March annual general meeting.

To be considered for directorship, candidates must be a member and maintain a Heritage Abbotsford Society membership throughout their two-year term.

Candidates should have have a strong interest in heritage conservation of tangible and intangible resources.

Applications are encouraged from individuals living in or operating a business in Abbotsford. At this time, special focus will be placed on recruiting candidates who have the time and experience to devote towards fundraising and corporate relations.
