Abbotsford’s annual haunted house will be open again this year on Halloween.

The event takes place at Trethewey House (2313 Ware St.) on Monday, Oct. 31. A “less scary” tour for younger kids takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The spookier tour for older kids and adults takes place from 6 to 8 p.m.

Admission is $3 per person. Treats and refreshments will be available.

The event is sponsored by the MSA Museum Society, the Optimists of Abbotsford, the City of Abbotsford and the B.C. Arts Council.

In Mission, a History and Horror Haunted House takes place at Mission Museum, 33201 Second Ave., from 4:30 to 6 p.m., on Halloween.

Characters from Mission’s past will escort visitors through the haunted museum. There will also be a craft room for younger children.

Admission is $2, including a hot chocolate.
