Free child identification clinic offered by Abbotsford Police

The Abbotsford Police Department and Envision Financial are partnering to offer a free Child Identification Day on Friday, Oct. 28

The Abbotsford Police Department and Envision Financial are partnering to offer a free Child Identification Day on Friday, Oct. 28 from noon to 6 p.m.

The clinic, held at the Envision branch at 2670 Minter St., focuses on children 12 years and younger, including infants. A parent or legal guardian must be present.

Parents are provided with Child ID books that include the child’s photo, description, medical information, fingerprints and DNA, as well as a listing of important phone numbers.

“The last thing you need to worry about if your child goes missing is where to find this information, and with the Child ID book, it’s all in one place,” said Kelly Pater, coordinator of the Abbotsford Community Policing office.

None of the child’s personal information is kept by the Abbotsford Police or Envision Financial.
