Foundry Abbotsford gets new bus thanks to donations from 2 charities

Variety and Health Care Foundation purchase new vehicle

Foundry Abbotsford's adolescent day treatment program (ADTP) has a new bus thank to donations from two charities.

Donations for the vehicle were made by Variety – the Children’s Charity of BC and the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF).

The ADTP at Foundry provides critical support to adolescents aged 13 to 18 who are experiencing psychiatric difficulties, including major affective disorders, anxiety
disorders, and other mental health issues.

The program offers a comprehensive range of services, including individual, family, and group interventions; educational support; and recreational activities, all aimed at improving the mental health and overall well-being of youth in the Fraser Valley.

The new bus will provide safe and reliable transportation for youth attending ADTP, helping to remove barriers to access and ensuring that all participants can
fully engage with the program.

The foundation relies on the support of the community to help fund programs such as this. Contact Lakhbir.Jassal@fraserhealth.ca or visit fvhcf.ca to learn more.

The FVHCF raises funds for vital equipment and programs funded or endorsed by Fraser Health in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Hope, Agassiz and Harrison Hot Springs.
