The Abbotsford Community Services’ Food Bank is participating in the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive during the week of Sept. 11-17.
At that time, volunteers will deliver flyers with donation bags to select homes throughout the community. People are invited to fill the bags with non-perishable items such as canned meat/fish, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter, baby formula, baby food, rice, whole wheat pasta, and sauce.
Residents are asked to leave the bags on their doorsteps for collection on Saturday, Sept. 17, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The filled bags may also be dropped off that day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (30635 Blueridge Drive).
All donations are taken to the local food bank. For more information, visit bctfooddrive.org or abbotsfordfoodbank.com
