Envision Financial employees Make a Difference

Annual event sees workers swap a day in the office for a day dedicated to giving back

Last week, hundreds of extra volunteer hands came to the aid of several non-profit organizations in communities across British Columbia.

Envision Financial’s Make a Difference Days saw employees swap their offices for a day dedicated to giving back.

Employees volunteered for 22 unique projects at 17 different local community organizations.

In Mission, Envision Financial employees volunteered at the Senior Animals In Need Today Society, and in Abbotsford at Fraser Valley Gleaners and the Abbotsford Food Bank.

“It’s nice to see all the different people out of their offices, having fun and helping out,” said Lynden Pennell, warehouse and group volunteer co-ordinator at the Abbotsford Food Bank. “We can’t do what we do year-round without this type of ongoing support.”

Make a Difference Days is in its eighth year at Envision. Employees spend a half or a full workday giving back to local nonprofit agencies throughout the Lower Mainland and Kitimat. This year’s volunteers contributed a total of 827 hours of service in B.C. communities.
