Elizabeth Fry Society offers summer camps

Series of summer camps in Abbotsford for kids who have a parent in the prison system

The Elizabeth Fry Society is hosting a series of summer camps in Abbotsford for kids who have a parent in the prison system.

The Blue Sky summer camps, launched three years ago, are the first of their kind in Canada and are operated as part of the society’s JustKids initiative.

A total of five camps are offered on a five-acre campground in Abbotsford, with three- or four-night stays.

Activities include games, crafts, picnics, singing around the campfire and more.

The camps are open to children ages six to 15 who are divided into two groups – junior campers (ages six to 10) and seniors (11 to 15).

The cost is $20 to $30, depending on the length.

Camp dates are July 1-4 (juniors only), 7-11, 14-18, 21-25 and 21 to Aug. 1 (seniors only).

Registration is now being accepted by contacting kirsty.gordon@elizabethfry.com or 604-785-9965.
