Laptops and other electronic devices can be recycled at an event in Abbotsford on Nov. 9.

A free electronic recycling event takes place in Abbotsford on Saturday, Nov. 9

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sevenoaks Shopping Centre and is being held in partnership with the Abbotsford Police Department and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA).

The public is invited to bring their unused laptops, computers, tablets, and other electronic devices to parking lot G, and the ERA team will ensure they are safely recycled.

Donated devices are refurbished by ERA and distributed to charities, non-profits and community organizations.

"ERA is committed to helping communities divert e-waste from landfills while giving back to those in need. By participating, residents can make a meaningful difference for the environment and support local initiatives," a press release states.
