The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) – Fraser Valley is preparing for its first food bank drive in support of Abbotsford Community Services, Chilliwack Salvation Army and St. Joseph’s Parish in Mission.

These groups collectively help meet the needs of more than 50,000 families throughout the holiday season.

The campaign runs from Nov. 20 to Dec. 16, when donations can be dropped off at CHBA members’ business or job sites.

As well, CHBA Fraser Valley is hosting a single-day fundraising event on Friday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at  Brixton Station (45554 Tamihi Way, Chilliwack).

Donations will benefit the three participating charities.

The event includes a performance by country singer Madeline Merlo at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item.
