Community clean up week runs April 19 to 25

Residents can help pick up litter at work, school, parks and trails

Community clean up week runs April 19 to 25 and Abbotsford residents are encouraged to pick up litter around their workplace, school, community parks, trails and streets to help keep the city and neighbourhoods clean.

Volunteers can register with the volunteer co-ordinator at 604-557-7050 or email acarmichael@abbotsford.ca by April 16.

Residents can also pick up litter supplies, including yellow garbage bags from the Parks, Recreation & Culture office, located on the third flood of City Hall at 32315 South Fraser Way.

The yellow garbage bags can be placed with your household garbage pick-up and extra garbage stickers are not required.

There will also be a clean-up kick-off event at Abbotsford Exhibition Park on Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents are encouraged to come out and help clean Abbotsford Exhibition Park and the surrounding neighbourhood.

For more information on community clean up week, please call the volunteer co-ordinator at 604-557-7050 or email acarmichael@abbotsford.ca.
