Clearbrook Kiwanis Club holds tree-chipping event

Money raised at Abbotsford event goes to Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program

The Clearbrook Kiwanis Club holds a tree-chipping event on Saturday, Jan. 2 for people to dispose of their Christmas trees.

The physically distanced event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sevenoaks Alliance Church, 2575 Gladwin Rd.

The fee is a donation by cash, cheque or online to the Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Program at BC Children’s Hospital. Donations of more than $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

Online donations can be made at bcchf.ca/clearbrookkiwanis.

The money raised go towards research and the training of child oncologists.
