Classic cars and music in historic downtown Abbotsford

Downtown Abbotsford will soon be filled with the sound of collector cars revving and classic bands playing as the annual Historic Downtown Abbotsford Car Show is set for Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Downtown Abbotsford will soon be filled with the sound of collector cars revving and classic bands playing  as the annual Historic Downtown Abbotsford Car Show is set for Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The entertainment kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with rock and roll headliners Blues Brothers Too.

Celtic band 1066, which formed back in 1985, will also be performing.

In addition Horizon, featuring Crystal Hicks on vocals, will be joined by another Abbotsford band called Flashback and a number of local musicians.

All proceeds from this year’s car show will once again go to the new Matthew’s House project on the Campus of Care in Abbotsford.

Admission to the show, which takes place just north of George Ferguson Way in the downtown area, is free. Classic car and hot rod owners who want to show off their vehicles are charged a $20 registration fee.
