The Pacific Mennonite Children’s Choir (PMCC) is launching its new season on Sept. 9 and will audition interested singers.

PMCC is a choir for children ages 8 to 18, founded in 1978 in Abbotsford. For 36 years the choir has exemplified the best in choral tradition, discipline and dedication.

The choir has toured in countries such as Canada, the USA, Austria, Germany, the Ukraine, Italy and Korea.

In July, PMCC was invited to participate in the Unisong Festival in Ottawa, a patriotic choral festival created to promote Canadian unity.

While in Ottawa, Abbotsford MP Ed Fast led the choir on a special tour of the parliament buildings, which included an opportunity to sing in the magnificent rotunda.
