Abbotsford residents had the opportunity to celebrate Cinco de Mayo (May 5) twice on the weekend as two different events took place.
The first was hosted by the Mexico en la Piel Cultural Society and took place May 3 at the Abbotsford Banquet Centre. It featured live mariachi music, Mexican folklore dancers, dinner and more.
The next day, a second celebration took place at Jubilee Hall in Bradner.
The evening included a buffet-style dinner with Mexican and Canadian dishes and dancing with live music by Groove n Tonic.
