Friends, nieces, nephews, children, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter celebrated the 100th birthday of Mae Crocker of Abbotsford on Feb. 8.
Mae was born in Purdue, a small town in Saskatchewan, where she went to school and college.
She became a teacher in Purdue, and married Peter Crocker in 1938.
Four years later, the couple moved to Abbotsford, where Mae has lived since.
She attributes her longevity to good genes, her strong family upbringing, doing everything in moderation, and a little bit of good luck.
