The Abbotsford Arts Council, in partnership with Envision Financial, has put out a call for musicians to submit applications to perform in the 2015 Envision Financial Coffee House Concert and Concert in the Park Series.

The concert series provides local artists with the chance to perform in a relaxed and casual atmosphere while the community enjoys various musical genres ranging from jazz, blues and folk to country, rock and pop.

The series will consist of approximately 36 concerts, to take place every Saturday evening between mid-May and late-October. Concerts are hosted at participating coffee houses in Abbotsford as well as in Mill Lake Park at the Kariton Art Gallery outdoor stage.

Applications will be accepted until Feb. 23 and are available for download at abbotsfordartscouncil.org or for pick-up at the Kariton Art Gallery (2387 Ware St.).

Bands with at least one member with residence in the Fraser Valley region are invited to apply.

The council is also seeking additional coffee house venues to host concerts. Interested venues are asked to send a letter of interest to info@abbotsfordartscouncil.com by Feb. 23.

For more information contact the council at 604-852-9358, info@abbotsfordartscouncil.com, or online at abbotsfordartscouncil.org.
