Bubbly Breakfast set for Feb. 5

The Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation and Sevenoaks Shopping Centre host the fourth annual Bubbly Breakfast on Friday, Feb. 5.

The food court will be transformed into a fashion runway and fine-dining establishment for this fundraising event in support of the cardiology unit at Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH).

Dawn Chubai, host of City TV’s Breakfast Television, will again serve as MC, detailing the clothing and accessories worn by models from many of the retailers at Sevenoaks.

The event runs from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and also includes a silent auction with items such as wine and gift baskets, salon services, event tickets, Disneyland passes, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra tickets and more.

February is National Heart Health Month. Proceeds from the Bubbly Breakfast will be used to purchase telemetry packs – portable heart monitors used to measure heart rhythms.

The packs cost about $10,000 and a cardiac unit needs several of them. Many at ARH are nearing the end of their life span and need to be replaced.

Tickets are $35 and include a breakfast buffet, a glass of bubbly and the fashion show. They are available from the foundation office at Abbotsford and Mission hospitals or online at fvhcf.ca.

The presenting sponsor for the Bubbly Breakfast is the auxiliary to Abbotsford Regional Hospital. For additional sponsorship opportunities, contact Kathryn Brulotte at 604-851-4890.
