The 83rd annual Bradner Flower Show takes place in Abbotsford from April 8 to 10.
The show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at Bradner Community Hall, 5305 Bradner Rd. Admission is $2.
The opening ceremony takes place at 2 p.m. on Friday with Global TV meteorologist Mark Madryga, MP Ed Fast, Mayor George Peary and councillors, the Bradner elementary hand bell choir, and the Bradner May Queen and princesses.
Science World presentations, focusing on the science of growing, are at noon and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday at 3 p.m., Rick Hansen students help kids make a seed pot, which they can take home.
A series of speakers are also featured each day, presenting a range of topics that include pruning, pollination and organic growing. The full schedule is available online at www.bradnerflowershow.com.
