BPW speakers discuss their Canadian journey

Luncheon will host speakers from England, Uzbekistan and India, who will speak about their journey to Canada.

Celebrating the 102nd Business and Professional Women’s Day, BPW Abbotsford will be hosting a luncheon on March 13.

This year’s event will consist of three new speakers and a familiar face from last year’s event.

The new speakers include Annie Charker, a behaviour education teacher from England;  Oliya Shamirzaeva an accountant from Uzbekistan; and Rajinder Kaur Randhawa, a teacher from India.

Each will share her journey into Canada, the struggles they faced, the people they met, and where they are heading now.

Returning to the event this year is Gail Gromaski, who last year discussed her move to Canada from the United States. She holds a bachelor of science in international business. Gromaski will discuss her experiences over the last year.

The luncheon will take place between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Cascades Church, 35190 Delair Road in Abbotsford.

Members and guests are welcome to reserve a spot online, bpwabbotsford@gmail.com. Cost is $15 for club members and $20 for guests.
