The Abbotsford Hospice Society (AHS) has a goal of raising $10,000 from now until Oct. 4 through the collection of empty recyclables.

The Bottles of Love fundraiser asks people to drop off their empty cans and battles at any Return-It Depot in Abbotsford, Aldergrove or Mission.

The empties can be dropped off in clear bags – no sorting required – and then a label can be printed for each bag at the kiosk in the depot by using the AHS phone number, 604-852-2456.

The funds for the returns will go into the AHS account in support of its programs and services.

The agency operates Holmberg House, a 10-bed hospice located at Gladwin and Marshall roads.

The facility provides end-of-life care for adults, as well as grief support groups, volunteer training, education seminars and one-on-one support services.
