Canadian Blood Services is urging Abbotsford residents to support hospital patients in need at two upcoming blood donor clinics before and after the long weekend. Abbotsford residents can donate blood at one of the clinics. The first is Saturday, July 30, Salvation Army Cascade Community Church, 35190 DeLair Rd., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 40 appointments open. The second is Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Christian Life Community Church, 35131 Straiton Rd., 2 to 8 p.m., with 95 appointments open. Call 1-888-2-DONATE (1-888-236-6283) to book an appointment to give.
