Barrowtown families show compassion

Parents and students enjoyed a turkey luncheon at Barrowtown elementary.

The Barrowtown Elementary Parent Advisory Committee hosted a full turkey luncheon for the students and families of Barrowtown on Monday, Dec. 17.

Students and family members were invited to take part in the Christmas feast, along with Christmas carols and trivia games.

This was a well-deserved break for the families of Barrowtown after a successful food drive in which the school sponsored three families from the Abbotsford Food Bank and Christmas Bureau.

The school focused on the virtue of “compassion” in December, and the students discussed having the feeling of compassion toward someone who is hurt or troubled.
