The second annual Take it to the Streets ball hockey tournament takes place at Sevenoaks Shopping Centre this Saturday (May 28), with proceeds going to Matthew's House in Abbotsford.

The event is a full day of four-on-four ball hockey open to ages 10 and up in all skill levels.

The tournament is designed to offer both recreational and competitive street hockey in several divisions.

Games consist of two 15-minute halves, and there are no offsides, icing and no red or blue lines.

Teams must have a minimum of four and a maximum of seven players. Teams are penalized with penalty shots, and slap shots are not allowed.

Divisions are separated by age, gender and high school for youth players, and adult divisions include male, female, co-ed and 35 plus.

Funds raised from the event go to Matthew's House, a respite home for children with complex healthcare needs. Visit mattshouse.ca for more details.
