Avoiding the pitfalls of applying for grants will be the topic of a speech held on March 14 and presented by the Abbotsford Arts Council.
The presentation is the first of a series in the 2015 Art of Marketing Speaker Series, sponsored by the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce and hosted in partnership with the Mission Arts Council. The featured speaker will be Heidi Turner, freelance writer and 2013 Arty Award recipient. She will share some of the pitfalls that non-profits fall into when applying for grants and give important tips for avoiding them.
The event will be held at 1 p.m. at The Reach. Registration is $15 for Abbotsford Arts Council members, $25 for non-members, and $5 for Young Contemporaries of The Reach. Tickets are available online at grantwritingabbotsfordaom.eventbrite.ca or at the Kariton Art Gallery. Space is limited.
