The fundraiser for Greta Loewen takes place on March 7.

An art auction on Saturday, March 7 in Abbotsford will raise money for five-year-old Greta Loewen and her family.

The event starts at 7 p.m. at The Phoenix Lounge, 33780 King Rd., and includes a silent auction with more than 50 pieces of original artwork, including a signed print from Robert Bateman and from popular Dutch artist Loise Van Baarle, otherwise known as Loish.

Gift baskets and other items – donated by local businesses – are also included as part of the auction.

Members of the Central Fraser Valley Graphic Guild will do live painting throughout the night, and Simon Bridgefoot will be the musical performer.

Tickets are $25, including a drink, appetizers and dessert.

Greta was diagnosed in mid-December with a rare form of bone cancer and is soon headed to Boston for a form of proton therapy not available in Canada.

Tickets for the fundraiser are available at HOFA Art Supplies and Framing, Replay Boardship, The Reach Gallery Museum, Strung Out on Beads and Spruce Collective.
